How to Qualify

To receive up to $1,500 in federal tax credits, there are various details that must be specifically followed and documented to allow the homeowners to benefit from their environmentally-friendly choices. In order to be eligible for tax benefits, homes must be equipped with windows and doors that have a U-Factor equal to or less than 0.30. America´s Choice Contractors is one of the best in the business when dealing with these required doors and windows.

Also, keep in mind that just because you have equipped your house with beautiful, top of the line products, this does not mean you automatically qualify to receive tax credits. To finish the process, you must collect your sales receipts. Without proof of purchase, you will be unable to prove that your replacements qualify. In addition to saving the receipts, you will also want to obtain the window and door performance labels, which specify the energy efficiency capabilities of the respective replacements.

I am now on my 4th time of having chuck and his crew remodel my homes. The first was a complete remodel down to the framing (we sold it a year later while still making money.) our current house we wanted so much done we have had the come do parts as we could afford it. We have had kitchen , bathrooms , walls removed in the downstairs and walls added. Besides the bad weather we have had it has all ran smoothly. The workers clean up their work every day, allow me walk through and updates. I will continue to use them for all my future remodels.

I took bids from 4 contractors when I was considering updating my kitchen this past summer. Not only did he come in at a much, much fairer/lower price, but he asked questions none of the others had even known enough to ask about (something about wind bracers in the attic? It turned out we would miss them when we tore down a non-load bearing wall, but only by a few feet. If we had hit them, the kitchen ceiling would’ve fallen in! He really knows contracting!)
